Love Food? Think Twice Before Jumping Into The Restaurant Business
I enjoy and hate articles like this. Enjoy it, because it is education and you do need to know this stuff. Hate it, because it almost seems like people want to discourage you from getting into the restaurant business. Whether it is the restaurant business, or opening up a clothing company, or being a cabinetmaker, like my father…ALL BUSINESSES ARE DIFFICULT. Hell…I work in politics for Pete’s Sake.
Nevertheless, in Tuesday’s (August 26th, 2008) New York Times, there was an educational article about how hard it is to get into the restaurant business, and how celebrity chefdom has painted alot of budding restauranteurs’ glasses rose. Enjoy.
